Born March 14, 1949. Raised in Smoketown. Went to Booker T Washington and Jackson Jr. High School. Graduated from Ahrens. Took some business courses at Sullivan. Married (widow) had 2 children. Employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25 yrs and Duke Energy for 22 yrs. Retired from Duke June 1 2013. Mrs. Sloan is also a member of the Smoketown Originals, Inc. Board of Directors.

Mr. Stone has lived in Sheppard Square since the age of 2 or 3, starting at 743 F Gaddie Court, moving to 760 K Merchant Ct around 12~13 years old and finally to 740 C S Hancock St, next to the Rental Office and 1/2 block north of Grace Hope Presbyterian Community Center. He attended Booker T Washington Elementary, Jackson Jr High and Central High Class of 1968.
Mr. Stone attended Bellarmine College while in Upward Bound 1965~1968, and then was selected with 4 other Upward Bound Students to attend Seattle University, Mike transferred to Seattle Community College for the 1969~1970 school year.
In June of 1970, Michael join the US Army and trained in Microwave Communications and was stationed in Germany till 1973. after he left the service he went to work at the Telephone Company until July 1983.
Mr. Stone also continued his education while working at the phone company, graduating from Jefferson Community & Technical College in 1976 and the University of Louisville n May 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies.
Michael has held numerous jobs from Aug. 1967 to his retirement from JCPS July 2015.
(at last count 30 Jobs at 26 Employers...one of his students was curious and ask how many jobs...(so wanting to know himself he started counting).
Michael is also a Photographer & Videographer, specializing in Weddings / Receptions & Class Reunions.

Mrs. Norma Jean Lewis Stites-Preston is the eldest child born to the union of the late Pauline B. Lewis and William T. Stikes, Sr. She attended Booker T Washington Elementary and Jackson Jr. High Schools. Norma Jean graduated from Central High School. She also graduated as Valedictorian in 1973 from Yuba Nursing School in Marysville/Yuba City, California. Norma Jean married in 1963 and to this union--two daughters were born: Jowanda and Sarita Gore. She remarried and gave birth to a son, M. Stephen Scribner, Jr. She has four brothers and four sisters: Lillian, Pamela, Mary T., Sherlonda, George (Bobby), Tyree, Howard and William T. Jr.
During Norma's early years, she relocated with her two young daughters to California where she continued to work in the medical field. She decided to return to Louisville in 1997 to give back to her community and her church. In 2001, Norma Jean became a representative from Baptist East Healthcare System, as a Black Achiever; Norma Jean is also a Kentucky Colonel. She was employed at Baptist East Healthcare System for many years.
As a faithful member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church and the Usher Board, Norma Jean also became a member of Smoketown Pride &Heritage Committee. She worked for a total of forty-eight (48) years in the medical field of Nursing. Norma Jean's motto is, "I owe it all to Thee that I am what I am; ever hoped for; and what I will ever be to Thee."

Janice Bishop-Carter is a strategic and transformational leader. She is a published author and speaker. She has a BA Business Administration/Management and Master of Science in Conflict Management from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a licensed Real Estate & Insurance Agent. She is a consultant for her business Arm Communication Group, LLC since 2007.
Janice uses her consciousness, of Conflict Styles to help expand businesses and personal relationships. In her former career as Telecommunications Coordinator, for Jefferson County Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical dispatch services, she managed multiple policies and procedures for 17 fire departments, police and EMS. She was the contact person to address the communications complaints for Jefferson County. She retired in 2002, after 29 years of community service.
Janice is a 1967 Graduate of Louisville Male High School and a 2017 Hall of Fame Inductee for documented achievements after high school. The achievements include a published author, 6-years, 3 term, and second female elected President of Louisville Branch NAACP (1998-2004). During her leadership memberships increased from 400 to 1500, in fifteen months. The University of Louisville, NAACP College Chapter reinstated. In addition, community issues addressed created and passed multiple branch resolutions, involving Health Advocacy, Economic Fair Share and the Kentucky HB99 Advance Directive for Mental Health Treatment.
Janice enjoys working with others to combine their knowledge and experience to help manage strengths, weakness, opportunities or threats to help build sustainable resolutions and community organizations.
